MISS DAISY BISTROT ~ A GEM IN ROSE HILL

Just opened in April this year, Miss Daisy Bistrot is a cosy little cafe run by a lovely lady called Jessica in the heart of Rose Hill. My friend K introduced me to the place last week and I've already been 3 times in a space of 2 weeks lol

It's not a very big place and there are a few seating as you walk in but the majority of seatings can be found at the back which opens out onto a lovely outdoor terrace area. (shame I don't have any pics of the interiors...)

The first time I visited, we sat on the terrace and I tried their 'menu du jour' which was lamb curry and it was so full of flavour and very tasty. It came with some rice, sautéed vegetables and satini and it was a decent portion at a very reasonable price. My other half had the crisp chicken burger and loved it!

The following day we met up with our friend K (who we were supposed to meet up here the day before, hence 2 days in a row lol) and I ordered the pan-seared dorado fillet which came with a small salad, gratin and some chips. This was also lovely and the fish was well seasoned with a nice selection of sides. Hubby chose a slightly more healthier smoked chicken panini this time round. It's nice that each dish has a small bowl of salad on the side and it's not just a bland panini on a plate with some chips. It makes it look more appetising and it goes towards one of your 5 a day lol

The fish was so good that the 3rd visit was also the dorado fillet. The difference this time round was that the gratin was made with different vegetables and the chips were replaced by potato crisps. I also got the peach tea mocktail which was lovely. I normally don't like peach flavoured drinks but this was refreshing and pretty in its colourful mason jar. Made from peach ice tea syrup and soda water, simply the best!

Next time I think I might try the Miss Daisy salad!

Also not forgetting the cake selection!
You can get cakes made by Something Sweet here and so far I've tried the carrot cake, strawberry & lemon cupcake and macarons and all were really good! The cakes were so soft and moist and the macarons were very light. I love macarons and they were excellent!

The selection of cakes change day to day so it's going to be a surprise to see what's available on the day! Can't wait to try the toffee caramel cheesecake...

The service is great, the people are friendly and most importantly the food is tasty and great value!
I guess you all know that I'm going to be a regular customer here....

FOR THE LOVE OF FOOD...xxx
